“Becky Hannert is one of the few brand and design consultants who wants to understand the underlying intent behind the brand and how to connect that intent to customers in ways that are both memorable and profitable. She does far more than create a graphic identity. Instead, she helps business leaders crystallize their vision, develop a thoughtful brand strategy and then execute and adjust that strategy in real time. I consider her a partner in how I establish, build and manage my brands.”

RESUME

Clients come to me with a business problem they are struggling with and I partner with them to develop exciting and flexible solutions that build awareness, promote product or service benefits, enhance the professional appearance, and in turn contribute to their business. Some key design accomplishments are highlighted below. I love new projects. Creating around someone’s direction is a great process.  You may contact me by phone or email, should you require any more information.

BGFM, Inc. / Farina Neighborhood Italian Raleigh, NC

COO / Marketing Director 02/2019 – present

Drove increasing sales while building the voice of the brand. Increased sales by double digits prior to the pandemic.

Built a private wine club with fiercely loyal clientele that translated into compound sales opportunities and cross-promotions.

Increased brand recognition by creating a replicable discipline of inbound and outbound marketing tactics including email outreach, blog management, social media management, search engine optimization, and digital advertising.

I have loved all the opportunities that have been presented to me to learn. I have been able to provide input and help steer the direction of the company. My role allows me to touch all aspects of the company and all of our smaller enterprises. This is a position where I feel valued.  I am given new tasks, included on decisions and processes that have more weight and are more complicated than what I had experienced before. And I have excelled.  There were new industries and excitement at every turn. But the owner has decided to retire.

Idler Internal Medicine / The Spa at Lafayette 8480 Honeycutt Road, Raleigh, NC

Executive Director 6/2013 – 2/2019

• Developed a plan that took clientele from less than 200 to more than 3,000 people.
• Built a stellar reputation with over one hundred 5 star reviews on all social media.
• Designed and maintained database, report structure and client tracking systems.
• Built website from concept to launch
• Designed and produced all promotional materials, signage, ads, branding, brochures and work materials and forms.
• Planned and managed multiple events for promotion and private groups.

I fell into this job. I offered to help them launch and my role kept growing. Even as the business changed (the doctor adjusted a couple of times what she wanted to do), I changed with it and helped it grown in new directions. The off-hand way the doctor and I would describe our roles: she touched the people, I touched everything else. It was a great partnership.

Renaissance Writings

President 04/1994 – 08/2013

• Launched, grew, and managed global wedding invitation and collateral business for nearly 20 years.
• Managed all facets of the business.
• Doubled year-on-year revenues for the first 10 years of operation.
• Sourced suppliers on an international level to lower materials costs by 10-50% and increase profits.
• Fostered business relationships with national print media to gain additional discounts and opportunities.
• Created all marketing and web platforms and campaigns.

I am so proud of my company. What began as a small concept grew to a business shipping orders around the world. RW was successful enough to be my family’s only income. I created every aspect of this business… the product, the designs, the website, coding of the website, advertising, reinvention, different incantations of the business, manufacturing, supplies, sourcing, personnel, management, and accounting. It was such a joy. When the economy turned, I was sad to see it go.

Shorelines New York, NY

Office Manager 07/1993 – 08/1996

• Managed office for top manufacturer representative with salespeople in multiple states.
• Processed orders and commissions for all salespeople from more than 20 manufacturers.
• Implemented display ideas at national trade shows.
• Created new substructures for database to enable new reports and client tracking.
• In a pre-internet era, created systems that generated leads for successful sales and reorders.

I was recruited for this position. I loved this job. I ran the office. I kept the principal players organized and on task. I took away all the mundane things they did not want to do and freed their time so they could succeed at the tasks that grew the business. I took the time to learn (on my own) adobe programs – it was the 90’s and they were at their infancy. I learned a database program and how to create systems that worked for the company. Relationships grew and side projects were offered to me. One of my first graphics tasks was creating items needed for a charity organization and their events.

Acoustiguide New York, NY

Assistant to the President 02/1993 – 02/1994

• Promoted to President’s assistant in 6/93 and then to marketing liaison in 1/94.
• Acted as a liaison among 13 international managers, two Vice Presidents and CEO.
• Handled all aspects of new product promotion.
• Began and created a marketing effort in 7/93 that involved creating and updating all media publications and in-house marketing tools.

First real job out of college. First experience with getting a salary and not being an hourly employee. I loved learning the process of building a project. I worked with museum staff, voice-over talent, and writers to create a story for people to listen to as they explored a museum. I learned to be a great support staff member. I thought ahead and made myself as indispensable as I could. I was someone that could be counted on. It was great first job. Lots of personalities and like all entry-level jobs a huge diversity in tasks.
